Mr. Griffin began his career in 1979 as a draftsman at Bendix Corp designing offshore drilling rigs. He then moved on to National Micronetics as a tool designer for manufacturing magnetic recording heads for the disc drive industry. In 1985, Jeff left the company and started up Sunward Technologies with 11 others, in the same industry. Within 10 years, the company had grown to approximately 3000 people with revenues of over $100,000,000 annually. Jeff was instrumental in the start up and completion of a 50,000 sq ft Class 100 clean room in their facility in the Philippines, as well as implementing and successfully achieving ISO 9001 certification. Sunward Technologies was acquired by Read-Rite Corporation in 1994 and Jeff joined another manufacturer for magnetic recording heads, Kabool Technologies, where he implemented the documentation and tool design departments. Jeff also achieved ISO 9001 certification in their facilities in San Diego, Seoul, and Sri Lanka.
Jeff joined American Innotek in 1998 where he initiated and generated many of the corporate policies and procedures that still form the company infrastructure today. His role in structuring Operations training and development led to the design and incorporation of new tooling and manufacturing processes for the Brief Relief product line, resulting in throughput increase exceeding 100%, yield increase of 45%.
Jeff left the company for health reasons in 2007 and later worked as the VP of Operations at Inspired Sciences, where he set up the Operations department, production, documentation system and Quality department. He also set up a production line in China to manufacture products for the Spa and Cosmetics industry. Inspired Sciences moved to Nevada in 2012 and Jeff returned to American Innotek where he successfully achieved ISO 9001: 2008 certification for the Escondido facility within two months after his return and subsequently maintained company standards for certification while passing four ISO audits by DNVGL.
